Bridge Parties

Having just been to a couple of club Christmas parties, I wondered how others celebrated the season.

We tend to be rather conservative. A short buffet type meal, annual prize-giving, followed by a session of 'normal' Bridge.

When asked, our members seem to say this is what they want.

What they don't seem to want is:

• A meal without any Bridge.
• Anything that involves playing with a different partner from the usual.
• Any 'joke' type competitions i.e. they only want a 'normal' duplicate session.

I am left with the feeling that, while this is ok, it can be a bit boring and repetitive year on year.

Anyone got any alternatives that they feel our members might vote for?
